I was born outside of New Orleans in 1958. I was taught that black people were not as good as white people. But as I became a teenager, I learned that they are pretty much like the rest of us, so I lost that racism. Unfortunately, large numbers of my parent’s generation are stil racist. But that situation is getting better as they die off. Thank God for that.

Don’t tell me what I am, you have no idea. I used to be prejudiced as a young man, but I got over it.

No, I chose my faith because when I called on Jesus to save me. Other faiths had nothing to offer me but foolishness. Jesus changed my life & gave me peace, joy, hope & love that the world could not give me. As for the true stories in the Bible, they are ALL true! It was God who promised Joshua the sun would stop still, he merely believed it. He wrote it that way because the sun APPEARS to move across the sky, even though it is the earth that really moves.

If you would only bother to STUDY the New Testament, as opposed to merely READING it, you would find out that the names & places & events recorded there, are quite accuirate. They have been corrorborated by numerous other sources. For instance, Luke the Physician, who wrote the Gospel of Luke & Acts, has been found to be a highly accurate historian. The names & places he mentioned have all been found to be historically true.

Actually, while I cannot speak for any other Christians here, MY faith is an informed faith. It is based on trust in a God I cannot see, true. But it is also a faith that is supported by clearly observable facts, secular history, arcaeological finds, inscriptions, etc. that confirm the true stories in the Bible!
