That’s what I was thinking. At least she could have carried them to the end of the wastes, if such a place really exists. Though she might have thought that Wally would try and rescue her during the trip.
I doubt we’ve seen the last of Holly. I’m sure she’ll come in at some point when she’s become a distant memory to the readers to swoop in and save the day.
I don’t think that this is anyone he knows, I think this is just hitting him in his soul. He’s unsure now what’s really going on, and if this is somehow him being brought back to the war, then he’s a dead man (cat?) anyway. If all hope is lost, then why not comfort someone who is equally bad off?
I hope there is a child psychologist that survived the apocalypse, seems they’d have a new patient shortly.
