Yeah, right. As long as he can dump Shannon off so someone else does the dirty work, and he can come in at the last minute and take the credit in her eyes, he’s not going to change.
This is actually worse than if he just did not show up. Shannon will only remember him doing the “duo” with her, not the fact that he did not help her prepare for any of it. Toni is wrong on that.
I believe Jonah is a master of wording what he is doing so what he says can have more than one meaning.
Example, “I’m taking Shannon to the Fuse for rehearsal. Can you pick her up there because I have to leave to do something before rehearsal ends”.
With Shannon telling everyone that she and Jonah are doing a duo act, one would think the above quote means he would be there rehearsing with her until he have to leave early. But that quote could also mean he would drop Shannon off at the Fuse and leave right away.
That’s why Toni asked about Jonah. She was hoping he would have stayed and rehearse with Shannon, but was expecting he bailed.
Jonah most likely told Toni he was taking Shannon to rehearsal. Since they were doing an act together, she assumed (hoped) if he left it would have been an hour ago at worst. When she heard he left 3 hours ago, she knew he bailed.
Someone needs to tell Jonah he can’t just dump Shannon whenever he wants. If he actually have auditions it’s rarely a last minute thing.
