The rest kinda fall into place, if you can manage, kindness and empathy.

Sadly, too many do read evolution that way. Alas it works without any plan, simply serving those best suited to their environment. All life, tuned to fit best into it’s eco-system, for food, breeding, and survival.

Urine and feces feel like moderation compared to driving a car into a crowd.

I’ll bet Wiley would like that too. But sometimes, a sincere belief is not something that should be pursued. If it causes anyone to drive a car into a crowd to kill, perhaps peaceful expression should be encouraged.Or a simple, funny, entertaining strip feels like ignoring an important issue, that needs to be discussed, politely.

Damn Wiley, and his patriarchal white Santa. ;)We need equality of coverage for all fantasy characters, put in the Easter bunny, Jesus Christ, and the Prophet (PBUH), oh and Eru Illuvitar, Xenu, Set, Thor.- – - – -On an entirely unconnected point, is Trump trying to start a civil war?Don’t answer now! Wait two years, and we’ll pick apart the pieces.

Generally, politicians try to be more moral when in opposition. It’ll help get them into power. Alas, once that happens, principles tend to become an obstruction, and pragmatism gets in the way. i.e. Fiscal Conservatives giving hundreds of billions in tax cuts with a national debt of $20Tn+. Increased military spending, etc…

I doubt they were any more high minded in those days. Political nostalgia is often misleading. They didn’t have control of house, senate and presidency then. Their grip on power was more fragile, so they knew they could be held to account. Admittedly, their first act wasn’t an attempt to dismantle the Ethics board. ;)

Both sides are open for a wider audience, if we’re brave enough to listen, to face the contradictory and edge closer to the truth.
