Oh come on, you sillies. Who cares what exact words Michael used? The point is that Michael actually cares about his sisters after all, and he’s not reluctant to talk about them. Underneath that grumpy teen we suddenly see the man Michael will become. It’s heart-warming.
Schools do not operate without adults. Even if children do not usually get very ill, they can get Covid, and some of them will die. Moreover those adults will be exposed as well—school staff and also the students’ families. Meanwhile we are getting closer to an effective vaccination. The Moderna trials look promising, as do several other trials. I believe the best course is to wait. Just wait. Online learning was jury-rigged together. Surely it could be improved. Also, kids could become better at it. But even if kids learn nothing at all online, at least they—and the adults around them—will be safe.
We’ve all been there, haven’t we? I think the reason some babies cry on planes is that their ears hurt with the changing air pressure. Feeding them helps, but that baby was still crying. Way to go, Michael!
Poor Elly. I relate. John needs to get the kids and get the job done. At least that’s what would happen in our house.
The present crisis makes putting away groceries even harder. We work together to wipe everything down with bleach wipes, or soak produce in soapy water. We even bake deli sandwich meat in the oven at 175 for awhile. We only shop online and pick up in the truck, but imagine having a new baby now, how hard that would be.
Love it!
