I live a bit outside of the city in area with slim pickings for the homeless, the only time I see them is on my early morning walks
A few years ago I might see one person a month with a shopping cart full of their worldly goods, and a few sleeping in their cars in the parking lot of a local park
Not hard to monetize the homeless at all. Helping them is a very big industry with lots of well paying jobs for counselors, social workers, etc. For less money we could let them set up tents on vacant floors of office buildings and at least they would have toilet facilities, climate control, and be not in front of businesses. But that’s crazy talk, isn’t it?

Certain groups in San Francisco are making a radical profit.
The homeless is still homeless, but the NGO is fully stocked.

Lately, those numbers have doubled or tripled

With all the trillions, I wish someone would come up with a solution! There are some who like living on the streets….I can’t imagine. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Depends on the city where they are living and the weather in the winter. Many like San Francisco.
