I’d rather refrigerate a banana once it’s actually ripe (black skin but inside still OK for a few days -don’t like banana bread). This one’s spots are not just skin deep. At 82 ambient in my house (tolerable and economical in summer) fruit cannot stay out for long.
Nuts! Forgot the squirrel again. I’d like to say it’s a cryptic message or I gave him the weekend off but sometimes I just simply forget poor ol’ Ralph.

The brown spots mean it’s ripe and ready to eat.
