Well that’s essentially correct, isn’t it? My neighbors consistently have garbage sales.

I always wondered why they misspelled those signs.

I’ve been to a lot of garage sales, and I’ve never once bought a garage.

I’ve gone window shopping a few times, and never came home with a window.

I’ve lost my shirt at the gaming table once or twice, but never left the casino naked!

I find a lot of good things at garage sales! I collect oil lamps and have found many of the more interesting ones at those sales. Very inexpensive or sometimes free (if they are closing down for the day).

What do you expect?

It’s auto correct .

It tends to take expressions like “garage” sale personally.
