If you think you can do the job better than your subordinate or can’t trust him to do it that way, then why don’t you do the job yourself?

Tuition costs a fortune, because they need all those Mikes in a row waiting to be managed.

I worked for a micromanager. It’s no fun. Unfortunately, she was the COO so there was no way to avoid her.

I wonder if anyone ever turned the table on a micromanager and pestered the daylights out of them for detail? Hey, it means the rest of the crew can actually get something done!

I had a boss who would send an email, get the response that you opened it, and then call you about the email. She also would never show up at the management meeting get the notes, forward it to me and ask me about all the issues that were raised eventhough she wouldn’t let me go to the meeting

Next (a voice over the intercom): “That’s not how to show him how to show him how to do it right. I’m coming down there myself.”

worst case scenario: when the manager does not know about the subject, when is more important to prove he was right than do the right thing, when is more important that people don’t talk about your incompetence than being competent, when people expect a result without even understanding how to get there or even if is possible, and is your fault for not doing it. The result is that you may come up with things like shoving an uv light up your butt instead of getting vaccines, and blame everyone else for what is your responsibility
