I think this is fake news or something. Santa handles making toys and deliveries. But I don’t think he (at least not personally) handles returns.

I don’t think there are as many returns as in the old days. Ya don’t hear many people saying “this gift card is the wrong size, the wrong color or I already have 1 of these”.

Santa may get refunds on returns??

You should have learned a long time ago Santa that people don’t like getting socks and underwear for Christmas.
