I once heard that it’s not simply “Murphy’s Law”, that in the absence of wind, smoke actually DOES gravitate towards people. Something to do with ionic charge (I’m not saying this is true, I’m just saying I read it once, presented as fact).
Of course, that theory does nothing to explain why cats always choose to sit on the laps of cat-haters…
