The other day I was searching my jacket pocket and found a fridge magnet, another time a food scoop and another pruning shears. Amazing what I can find in my pockets.
If I pick up an item, there are 2 choices; 1) If there’s a logical place for it, I take it there. 2) If there isn’t, I must put it back in the same spot. If I move it, it will be harder to find again.

Have you tried looking in the car’s Ignition switch? Or the front door?

That depends on where you apply the bolt.

Dang, is that accurate!!! usually one set of keys has fallen out of my pocket and is on the floor of the car, the other in my wife’s purse.

It’s usually in the last place you look, so start there.

It will magically reappear in the place it was supposed to be in the first place, but only after you’ve spent the money for a replacement.
