I'm really kinda sad to see this year come to an end- we sure did a lot of fun things together during it. However, there was an event one hot July day I hope to never, ever repeat. Ok, ok. I admit now that I probably shouldn't have given that stinky ol fish I found on the stream bank mouth-to-gill resuscitation. The thing was dead, half rotted away!... And then you went and kissed me- yucko gross!

One of our neighbors loves to fish, but hates to eat his catch. After a trip to Ocean City, he came home with several bluefish. He offered one to us. We refused, politely, so he moved on to our neighbor across the street.Later that Saturday evening, the neighbor from across the street showed up with a bluefish and tried to pass it off to us. Hubby declined again. Our dog usually wakes us up with puppy kisses.Sunday morning, we woke to fishy belches instead..We discovered a half-eaten bluefish in the garage. The dog had neatly stripped the flesh off, leaving the bones.

Love the memory for 2014..but someone in the newspaper goofed! In this morning’s Sun-Sentinel (Florida), I turned to the comics..as I do every morning to see how the boys are dong…RED & ROVER. Although the RED & ROVER title was correct the comic below it was not RED & ROVER. It is not on the page, at all!Get it right, Sun-Sentinel!LOVE & HUGS TO RED & ROVER

Time to reflect on this last year with fondness and try to forget about all the unfortunate things. Red and Rover – have a nice new year!
