I actually have 2 lawn mowers of that type in my garage. I wouldn’t mind using them but the reels are sort of “frozen” and won’t turn. I wish I knew someone who knows how to fix the.

My first lawnmower was a powered reel type machine. And I learned that yellowjackets don’t care what kind of lawnmower it is.

Scotts Silent hand lawn mower was so easy to use, my young sons loved mowing grass. When I was young reel type mowers were a bear to push. I loved the sound of playing cards clothes pinned on bicycles flapping against spokes. Unfortunately I ruined hard my folks prize card deck used for playing bridge.

Things sometimes look much better on paper than in operation.

I remember one glorious morning early in summer vacation, having just cadged some cards and clothes-pinned them on my bike, riding up and down, ‘cross the street, up and down. Until my mother, who didn’t sleep well at night, appeared at the front door on her last nerve cell inquiring, “What IS that NOISE?!”

ha! I can relate… my dad wouldn’t let me use the power mower and I had one of those, as well. Going up a steep hill with that thing was a blast, let me tell you!
