That happened to be one of mine as well! Although my exercise probably won’t involve chasing squirrels.

Our one cat keeps the squirrels worried when she’s out. She hasn’t caught one but they still take note of her presence in the yard.

My guys have the AMAZING ability to hot-paw it off into the woods after something I can’t even see. What’s ever stranger is the fact that one of them will see something, and the other will take off as well, even if he’s INSIDE the house!

We are in a very rural area. NCNG C-130’s used to make these low altitude passes (I think at 500’) right over our land. One day one scared my German Shepherd out of a nap he was taking in the yard while I was splitting some firewood. He took off down through the woods chasing it and barking at it. Came strutting back up about five minutes later with this ‘I took care of that Pop!’ look on his face. Then he laid back down and continued his nap. (that was back in the late 80’s).
