We have beef and pork both in NC. We have two styles of BBQ too. Eastern is vinegar based and western (my preference!) is tomato sauce based. Both styles and both beef and pork are good when done right too! (and BBQ chicken is good too).
May 11-12 – International Barbecue Festival in Owensboro KY, BBQ Capital of the World (you could look it up). Chicken, beef, pork, yeah – but it’s all about the mutton. And try the burgoo too. Joey Chesnut will be back in town defending his title. Challengers welcome – come on down, y’all!

In Maryland we have Crab Chips. They are potato chips with Chesapeake Bay Crab Seasoning. Yeah, we are crabby, but they are pretty darn good. :D
