Harvey, the Wonder Hamster – Master of Disguise, gets hungry about five minutes after he gets done with breakfast. Harvey is actually a chiweenie, but since he is the smallest dog in the house, we mock him for it.
Just like my Gracie! She comes up to my chair and stares at me just like Rover. If she continues just staring it’s about food. If she puts a paw on my knee and whimpers, she needs to go out for ‘potty.’ She is so readable!
When dogs look at you like that and just the very tip end of their tail wags a little bit of a wiggle like that, we KNOW they want a milky bone or a meal.
My 2 smaller dogs are looking at me with big eyes every nite for their nite treat, some nights being earlier than others. Those looks communicate to me what they want!

They do not have opposable thumb to grip open the refrigerator – and you need the exercise!

You’re supposed to feed your dog twice a day, not twice an hour.

All my dogs have been self monitoring. Eat when hungry; walk away from a half eaten bowl of food.

Yes, a knack…that’s what it is ;)

Just don’t leave a hand towel dangling from the door handle. Dogs have been known to pull it open with that.
