Bad news on the doorstep

Yeah baby, that’s a Schwinn, with a five speed shifter. That model was the little brother of the model with shocks. “Apple Crate”. Got one Xmas morning in 69. Rode it in the snow until I almost froze to death. Good summer, Cubs & Mets and a man on the moon.

When I was a kid, we called the comics pages “the funnies.” They were black and white during the week but eventually in color on Sundays. And back then the newsprint rubbed off on everything!

A major source of truth.

Pretty sure most kids, except for perhaps Alex Keaton, only read the funnies.

That’s why I always read the comics first……

I don’t remember Red having a route.

This is almost sad. I have not seen a kid deliver a paper in years. It is now all adults in cars and I do not mean young adults!

Bad news is turning slightly better by having a cute kid and dog deliver it.

Can’t go wrong with comics.

Comics is the best part.
