I’ve just been commenting on the Fred Basset strip. I mentioned that it’s exactly forty-five years since I discovered Fred through a TV show that debuted on Monday 25 April 1977. April 25 happens to be on a Monday again this year. This strip also brings back nostalgic memories of the 1970s. I’m a little too young to remember the 1960s but I do remember the 1970s.

The trouble with the free press is there’s so much of it that isn’t worth the price indicated.

Careful, Brian, CALVIN AND HOBBES lost a paper after Bill Watterson used the word “phlegm.”

Red’s about 50 years too young for the word “phlegm”.
