I see where this might be going! They could get engaged, and Rip would meet Breezy’s mom, a whacky new regular character. After lots of hype about Breezy’s wedding gown, they’d get married and a bit later the strip would move to a different outlet. They’d have triplets which would be seen a couple times then forgotten. Then the strip would be cancelled, but would reappear in later years in several horrible revised versions, and finally after several decades, one decent one.
