I don’t know, as much as I have enjoyed this strip in the past, it seems to have gotten particularly chaotic (as in no continuity) and sexist (as in pigeonholing). I keep awaiting an ironic rescue of the heroes, but I wonder if even that’s worth combining the shaved heads and star trek uniforms.
Rowdee it seems hasn’t spent enough time with the Starlight Sheriff’s Department to learn how to roll with an escaping crook smashing through a window at her.
For the record, there are plenty of strong female characters in Rip Haywire. (Breezy, Cobra, Squirrelly, Fireball, etc.) Rowdee is the exception, not the rule. (For now, anyway. She may get even with Skinner later for pushing her away.)

Don’t just stand there. Go after him. I’ll live.

You can’t pick a window that doesn’t have any glass until you break every single one first.

Now we see why Rip stuck Rowdee on meter duty a few days ago. She hasn’t yet risen to Haywire standards.

Geez some peoples see “sexism” when there is none. Nothing wrong in today’s comic.

Well, he’s right about the windows, but the situation usually requires the bad guy to get his teeth ka-smashed in first.
