Given what a scumbag Astor was, I wouldn’t exactly call him being murdered bad news. The money being stolen, on the other hand, now that’s bad news.

Let me get this straight. He froze and then he was shot? (in which case, the bullet didn’t kill him.) Or, was he shot and then his “ticker” with the bullet in it froze afterwards? Harry did say it was a frozen corpse, so Astor appears to have been dead before the two of them found him. (They still could have found the money and taken it to fund their wedding and honeymoon.)

So has the platinum blonde survived?

Did he frisk Harry and Bernice yet?

It’s the merriest Christmas for Rip. He got to spend time with the family and and Dan regifted him by keeping the Astor case open.
