The Aye Aye, a species of lemur from Madagascar, has long, bony middle fingers that fulfill the same role as woodpecker's beak- allowing the animal to pry insects from tree bark! 29-year-old Rochom P'ngieng of Cambodia spent 18 years growing up in the jungle before she was found in 2007. She was unable to learn the local languages, preferred to crawl rather than walk and refused to wear clothes. She fled back into the jungle on May 25, 2010. Barrow Island, off the coast of Western Australia, had sustained wind speeds of 254 miles per hour during tropical cyclone Olivia in 1996!
