Transcript:
John Adams, 2nd president of the USA, was the only US President to be defeated by his own Vice President (Thomas Jefferson), in an election! A pack of vultures can turn a human corpse into a skeleton in as little as 5 hours! On Feb. 3, 2012, the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada, had a huge dodgeball game with 4979 players and 1250 balls!

Back in the early days they didn’t have running mates. Whoever got the second-most amount of votes was vice president.

It’s creepy to think he didn’t have a CREEP policy like Nixon. Before anyone goes crazy, it’s said tongue in cheek just a play on words. Not intended to start a political debate..OK

Vulture! – they just finished a large study on them and corpses for forensic science. It seems they can strip the flesh, as noted, move the whole body of a person 100s of feet from the original death site, inflict a vast amount of damage that looks like a weapon had killed the person. So, this totally changes the time of death, location and cause. It was an interesting show on CBC Quirks and Quarks.

For sheer nastiness, the Adams vs. Jefferson presidential campaign makes the current one look downright tame.

“Pack”? Usually, the collective noun for vultures is Colony. Occasionally, you’ll hear Wake or Committee. Maybe they should include Legislature?

Only 5 hours? Bet that depends on the size of the corpse!

4,979-player dodgeball!? That’d be a war if I didn’t know any better!

Yes Adams and Jefferson were bitter rivals largely due to their differences that arose during the debate over the Constitution and Bill of Rights. But in their later years they settled their differences and re-established their friendship through their correspondence. When John Adams died on July 4, 1826 his last words were “Thomas Jefferson still survives.” Ironically Jefferson had died earlier that same day.
