Transcript:
English fantasy authors and friends C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien both survived the battle of the Somme in World War I. Woodlice can drink from both ends of their body! In the 19th century, the city of London, England, installed streetlamps powered by gas fumes drawn from the sewers.

We wouldn’t have J.R.R.‘s nor C.S.’s classic stories if they didn’t survive Somme.

They really should have saved the item about CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien one day more for the anniversary of Lewis’s death, but I suppose it would have gotten lost in all the talk about that other death on Nov 22, 1963.
