Turned down Butch and Sundance because he wanted top billing over Newman. Turned out for the better I think.

    1. Lightning is required to make plants grow, it needs to strike the ground.2. I was talking to a guy that works on a slaughter floor, he/the company said it take 650 litres of water to make each hamburger. That was from the birth of the calf to the kill floor, which uses and reuses a lot of water for rinsing and waste.3. No Steve McQueen input today.

I find it hard to believe that anyone is eating hamburgers at this hour when all restaurants in the us are serving breakfast.

Things-that-could-annoy-me-this-time-of-night Department: Anybody remember that old book, “How to Lie with Statistics?”

Yeah yeah… Americans eat about 5 billion burgers a year…there are a little over 500,000 minutes in a year…ergo…Americans eat, on average, a little under 100,000 burgers a minute.

    True,

But THIS minute? It’s 3:15 AM in California, 6:15 AM in New York.

I would bet decent money that 95,000 burgers will NOT be consumed in the next 60 seconds in the US… not even including Hawaii, where it’s earlier.

And far MORE than 95,000 will be consumed every minute between 5 and 8 pm in each time zone.

This is like saying YOU eat three burgers a week just because that’s the average.

Watch out for writers pushing assumptions about “every” based on “average”.

A dream 4U — you wrote that when I was typing about it too…. and I’d bet more restaurants are closed than open when it’s not even 5am in half the country..

Why is McQueen thinking of how often lighting strikes Earth every minute?

He turned it down because the character had to cry in front of his children and McQueen did not want to cry on screen.

John Travolta turned down American Gigolo, An Officer and a Gentleman and Chicago. Richard Gere took them all.

Ha. It is presently 11:45 pm ET. I doubt that many Americans are eating burgers this minute.
