In the Zangers’ case, not very often you hear of living great-great-grandparents.

I think this is how Adam and Eve got started. Give it another 5000 years and the Newest Testament will start with, "In the beginning, God created Leo and Ruth . . . " The list of begats will never end.

We learned (or didn’t,) from the potato famine that it is important to have different varieties of staple crops. Some of the varieties will be resistant to any diseases that develop. If you plant only one type it is possible that a disease outbreak will ruin the entire yield. Since a huge percentage of the world relies on rice this is good news, but only if there is a good variety of types being planted in quantity.

I went to school with a girl called Lucy who had a daughter at 15 . 15 years later her daughter had a daughter. She had a daughter at 14. So at the grand old age of 44 Lucy was a great grand mother. Lucy’s mother is 60 her grand mother is 78 and her great grand mother is 97 all opting to having children at a very young age. So now there are 6 generations in the same family.
