    I once had a stamp album given to me from my grandma, who was a big-time collector for decades. It must have been an old album, ‘cuz it had headings for what once were kingdoms, principalities, palatinates and colonies. Example: Baden, Luebeck, Wuerttemberg, Tuscany, Liguria, French Equatorial Africa, French Indochina, Danish West indies, US Philippine Islands, etc. Iran was Persia. And No Pakistan, as this album was produced well before India’s independence, much less her subsequent war of partition. -I wish I had thought to ask her if she collected any stamps from the Old Confederacy.
