Yup! The large hadron collider, one of the world's most powerful machines, was short-circuited by a weasel who chewed through one of the wires! Inspired by the women of the Kayan Lahwi tribes of Thailand and Myanmar, Sidney V. Smith of Los Angeles, California, has been living with 15 copper rings around her neck, in order to extend it, for five years! Vinnie's Pizzeria in Brooklyn, New York, created an entirely edible pizza delivery box!
The Large Hadron Collider had so many problems, including some weird ones (like the weasel) that some scientists seriously suggested that the accidents were a case of “reverse chronological causation,” that is, that the Higgs boson, which the LHC was looking for, was “abhorrent to nature” (their words) and so when it was created by the collider ripples were sent backward in time to sabotage its creation.
