who was the lucky dog to have bought that uninhabited community? (and to think Alfred Yankovic made a song about purchasing interesting items from that — as he called it — worldwide garage sale)
Two years ago I made a comment on a YouTube video concerning Yakutsk and its cold temperatures. After reading today’s Believe It Or Not I thought I would go back there so I looked it up and to my amazement found that my simple comment, “Look at the bright side … no mosquitoes.” is leading the comments with over 4,500 thumbs up and 128 comments. Now, that’s a “Believe It Or Not” of my own LOL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pReyPGHw4sQ
Where does this strip get its facts??? Yakutsk, with an average temperature of −8.8 °C (16.2 °F), is the second coldest large city in the world after Norilsk, although Yakutsk experiences colder temperatures in the winter.
one of amboy ghost town’s claim to fame is the visitation by the (now) deceased Huell Howser’s tv production. more here..https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amboy,_California

-40 degrees is the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit. At that point, mercury is frozen.
