Once more we find clues in etymology! In French, the generic term for fancy pastries is “viennoiseries” i.e. “Vienna-style stuff”. In German, you get “Wienerbrot” or “Vienna bread” when you want pastry. The croissant is a subset of the generic term. I don’t know if there is a different word for it in Vienna.

Neither do: Deer, Antelope, Moose, Caribou/Reindeer, Bison, Sheep, Goats, Camels, Llamas, Alpacas, Gnu/Wildebeest, Giraffe Yak, Muskox, Buffalo (Cape and Water) and Rhinoceros.
