Well, house fires, wild fires, they’re both fires, right?
A photographer from a well known international magazine was assigned to cover the fires at Yellowstone National Park.
When the photographer arrived, he realize that the smoke was so thick, it would seriously impede or make it impossible for him to photograph anything at ground level, so he requested and received permission to hire a plane and take photos from the air.
Arriving at the airport, he saw a plane warming up near the gate. He jumped in with his bag and shouted, “Let’s go.”
The pilot swung the plane onto the runway and within minutes they were in the air.
The photographer said, “Fly over the park and make two or three low passes so that I can take some photographs.”
“Why?”, the pilot asked.
“Because I am a photographer, and photographers take photographs”, he said.
The pilot was silent for a moment, and finally said, “You mean, you’re not the flight instructor?”

Until next time.
