I currently have a 16 year old, a 13 year old, a 12 year old and a 9 year old.

We have two cats and a dog and would not trade them for the world’s riches! The joy that they give us cannot be measured. I hope they live forever! :-)

One of my cats. Lucy Katz by name, turned 18 this summer. She has lost her hearing and often seems to be disoriented and confused, but she’s still pretty spry for her age. She might make it to 20.

In the late 80’s it was discovered that taurine is an essential amino acid for cats. It has since been added to commercial cat foods. My cat is nearing 17 years old and still quite active and spry.

A kitten I adopted in 1971 was still alive in 1983. I think she lived one more year.

I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to have sex with anyone imbued with crocodile dung either.

So do they still have only 9 lives? Or has that gone up as well?

I dont even want to know how they used croc dung as birth control….

Native American women have used honey and bitter herbs mixed together since at least that long. They did with it what Egyptian women did.

Cinnamon tast better and is a lot healthier than gold.

I grew up with cats, it wasn’t unusual for them to live to 10 -15 or more.

Acne was the first contraceptive I used. Very effective.

So how did crocodile dung work? One of the partners covers themselves in it so the other doesn’t want to be near them? That’ll work.

Someone care to explain how the crocodile dung was used? Or did they just smear it on themselves so the opposite sex would be repelled?

Feral cats on average don’t make it past 5 years. Outdoor cats with humans usually make 7 – 8 years. Indoor – outdoor cats will sometimes get beyond 10 and indoor cats are the 15 – 20 years olds. Our cats are all indoor but we have a catio with perches and shelves, a water fountain, litterbox, and sun protection. Odinsdottir, our NFC and Kei and Yuri, our meezers, also love spending time on the deck in the snowy winter. The cats are 12, (Calico Ragdoll) 10, 10,(Siameseses) 8 (NFC) and 3 (Tuxie). I’d love a health excuse to drink whiskey (I don’t drink alcohol anymore), but…what does work? Exercise and staying busy and involved is supposed to help. A diet free of junk foods helps. What else, do you recommend?
