I don’t understand why someone would buy the lemon, or how they knew how old it was.

I read about the Canadian Lynx and its snowshoe paws 50 years ago in a book about cats.

How did they figure out how old the lemon was, and why would anybody in their right mind want to buy it?

Pursuant to the Canadian Lynx; are you aware that camels have concave bottoms to their hooves so they can walk on sand without sinking? The hoof profile could be likened to the profile of an under-inflated automobile tire. Of note; if you are mired in sand with an automobile, you can let the air out of your tires such that the tread becomes concave providing ability to drive above the sand. It is a technique know as “camel footing”!

Are you also aware that the term “automobile” is hardly used by anyone anymore?

Gee, what are the odds: an animal that lives in snow a good portion of its life has paws suited for snow. Believe it or not!
