Yes, it’s fiction, but even I – a cat lover & once-upon-a-time owner (developed allergies, darn it) – have a hard time accepting this as normal or rational.
The cat must hate purple, oh wait, they don’t see color per se.
I think we are supposed to admire Peekaboo’s feat of destruction and acrobatics against incredible odds, in real life the coat rack would have come down before the first shred….
Peekaboo, sensing that the dreaded, evil, purple blazer represented a threat to herself and her family, attacked and killed the enemy. Thus her family was safe and all was right in the world.
To the artist: The destructive cat bit is really getting tired. @Rikki is right, but it’s just not funny anymore. Real or not, it wasn’t really funny in the first place when these poor people have a cat that’s near psychotic in destructive tendencies. Especially when they’re upset. Could you please make Peekaboos destructive antics less often? Snagging is one thing, but ripping apart things or kicking things off just strikes a cord that takes the joy out of the comic.

When is Biker Rose going to come out and deal justice?

I have never seen a cat do that and I have had many. Dogs on the other hand chew up every thing.

I’ve had dogs and cats for pets in my life. The more destructive? Dogs, by a mile.

My kids were more destructive than my cats or dogs. LOL It’s just a comic strip, and a really good one.

Get a grip people-Peekaboo’s antics are a comic devise not a documentary on cat behavior-she’s funny – but not real.

I don’t think the cat would want to live in your house, in any way
