I’m with Peekaboo — I’ve never gotten a Christmas sweater I liked! And then ya gotta wear it, anyway or else hurt some feelings. The last sweater I got for Christmas was white with a big red stripe across the middle and red Christmas decoration balls all over it. I gave it to my girlfriend. She liked it. Go configure!

UP here in the North, where we haven’t had a raise in 5 or 6 years, YES! GOTTA keep that thermostat down or risk a blown budget. Warm enough to keep the pipes from freezing, but NO HIGHER!

That’s what Sweaters, Electric Blankets, and Cats are for!

I am an adult with two children of my own, and my mother still likes to give me cutesy Christmas sweaters…you know, kitties with Santa hats, etc. I have two sisters, and they have NEVER received sweaters like these. The thing is, I don’t like them!!!

It’s amazing how much clothing I got for Christmas that “just didn’t fit right” Despite the fact that it was the same size as the rest of my clothes. And when I tried to exchange it, either they didn’t fit right either or they didn’t have the same style. I think I was in college when my mom finally got the hint I didn’t like what she was getting me but didn’t want to hurt her feelings. She’s much better now at getting me clothes I like.

The “holiday sweater alert” should have been Peekaboo’sresponsibility.

@Debbie JordanFrom your comment yesterday, I see what you mean. Now I suspect that Rose lulled Peek-a-boo into a false sense of security. All that garland was really hiding that holiday sweater.

Why is the orange garland orange instead of red? Colorist’s error? Or is Rose a University of Texas at Dallas fan?

They probably think you’re speaking of the rock band. Sometimes you need four!

“When I think of a school associated with the color orange, I think of Syracuse.”

Yea, Syracuse! Guess pink and blue wasn’t doing it for them.

Since Rose is holding a green garland and an orange garland, I looked them up as school colors, and the UT at Dallas was the only one I found.

WOOPS! Just remembered that the University of Miami school colors are orange and green. That’s my younger daughter’s Alma Mater.

It took my old cat Wenceslas less than 30 seconds to get out of any sweater we ever put on him (and we only did it because we thought he had arthritis in his back — turned out if was his knee that he was crying about).
