Rose: I couldn't handle the pressure of being a favorite patient anyway.
Sadly, many doctor’s offices these days have become the equivalent of a factory production line. The practice needs to see an increased volume of patients in order to pay off the doctor’s med school loans and skyrocketing malpractice insurance costs (plus the cap on reimbursement doesn’t cover the actual costs of treatment). All of which leads to docs who don’t have time to read files. Forgetting a name is say, but think about the patients in surgery whose docs remove the wrong organ,or leave sponges in….
