He values the opinions of Aunt Emma and my cousins... But he has the final word on all family matters! Rose: I hope you told him that we do things a little differently around here. Jimbo: Well...his system must be working! He's in charge and nobody seems to be complaining! Rose: Perhaps you'd enjoy a taste of Uncle Erwin's life! Jimbo: I forgot that Uncle Erwin eats most of his meals alone on the porch!

I wonder if Aunt Emma shares Uncle Erwin’s ideas about his place in the household. If he eats a lot on the porch, probably not.
