Goose: I'm here for the glee club auditions...I've prepared a piece that will demonstrate my musical range.
Bird: You may begin. You have no understanding of tone, pitch or melody!
Goose: It's called natural talent.
I once got out of my car just as a grackle was starting up a concert in a tree at the edge of the parking lot. If you’ve ever heard grackles, you know that nobody would classify them as songbirds, but there was such structure and complexity to the sounds coming out of him I found myself so impressed I delayed my lunch for ten minutes just to listen to him.
Nannette BoulaisGreat duet. I enjoyed Helen Traubel after a concert of Wagnerian arias and Wolf Lieder, would encore with “a folk song from my native village”; it started with “I hate to see that evening sun go down”. She was born in St. Louis, MO.

As Mama Cass said: You got to ma-a-a-ke your own kind of music, Sing your own special song. . .you go, girl/guy!!!
And, as Jimmy Durante/Madame Trauble (?) sang: It doesn’t have to be witty or smart, Just as long as it comes from the heart. . .
