Mimi: Wair iz it gohing? Corky: Uh... Jimbo: Psst...Corky! It was called back to balloon town!
Nice save, Jimbo…
It’s either the lettering or my eyes. I had to look at ‘balloon town’ several times to see it wasn’t ‘balloon to win’ which made no sense.
Hmm, no apparent concern for any animal that may be harmed when this balloon comes back to earth as litter.
Are Corky and Jimbo related or just neighbors? I know (think?) that Rose and Clem’s mom are sisters. . .aren’t they?
Happy 4th of July!
Brilliant!
@chrisjozo: Thanks!
Why do parents have this compunction to lie to their children about so many things, even a lost balloon?
It’s going to the ocean where some unsuspecting whale will eat it and die.
ACSSeems more like brothers-in-law-in-law.
JR6019Stop driving until you see an optometrist (at least) or an ophthalmologist. In both this online version and the one printed in the Dallas Morning News, “balloon” and “town” were on separate lines.
It went to Oz, of course. You know HE needs balloons.
