Oh, what memories. In one of the old Dick and Jane first readers, the handyman Jake had raked a pile of leaves they could play in and then buried potatoes, burned the leaves and they had hot, baked potatoes to eat. Always thought that was such a cool thing to do and wished I could have done that. Still do.
