You’d better plant an additional 40 acres.

Meemaw is a good person. We plant extra for the food pantry and the wildlife. Besides, wildlife have been pretty good neighbors, so far, these past 18 years that we have lived here.

Since there is no way to prevent them, might as well enjoy them

I enjoy our deer family. Use a deer repellant on certain plants and the rest the deer may nibble on.The deer repellent: Bounce dryer sheet tucked into the plants. Sheet may be new or used. Doesn’t seem to make a difference and it lasts the season. Place every three feet apart.

I wish the deer around here would stop confusing my home with Meemaw’s.

My folks used to live in the Hill Country of Texas. They had to put up a 6ft fence with a wire fence roof to keep the deer and raccoons out of their garden.

Unlike Meemaw’s deer friends, the ones here in central NJ don’t know how to share. I have a big garden too & I finally kept them out with a tall fence. And I suppose Meemaw’s deer don’t leave behind those ‘cute’ black piles all over the place!

They are welcome to anything here except for the pumpkin patch. That is protected.

Don’t know about that MeeMaw. I’ve seen a herd of deer total destroy a large garden.
