During the blizzard of 1978, never mind digging out the car; I remember having to dig a little tunnel for our miniature Spaniel so that she could actually go outside to “do her business”.
My step daughter doesn’t have snow days anymore, they’re called digital school days now. With tablets, she gets a notification for each of her teachers as to what to read/work on for the next in class day.
Digging out the car reminds me of the snowy winter of 1978-79 when Grandpa lived with us, as Grandma was in our full-fledged hospital instead of their 12-bedder 40 miles away. He was always asking my friends and I to dig out his car, while Mom, behind him, would smile and shake her head “No.”

The snow looks deep enough to swallow Pasquale. Maybe he should just stay behind Jimbo and keep him company.
