Bill Watterson did this AGES ago, when Calvin’s dad told him the world used to be black and white before it colorized. Black and white photos from that era are therefore accurate representations of the way things looked, and the reason old paintings gained colour is because artists are insane.

My Grandfather took 8mm colour movies as far back as the late ’30’s, I believe. Kodachrome was invented in 1935.
