In the Spring of 2022, Polar Bear showed up on the Gaspe’ Peninsula which is on the east coast of Canada just south of the St. Lawrence River. They suspect the bear was on an iceberg and eventually decided to swim in search of land. They are great long distance swimmers. In the States, I’m sure they would have tried to bait the animal in a trap and transfer it back to the Arctic. Not in Canada…..it was shot dead immediately, end of story. Cost to taxpayers…the price of a bullet.
