When I was little, I enjoyed the simple things. But enjoyment is like a drug. You need larger and larger doses for smaller and smaller levels of satisfaction. A rocket trip to Mars now wouldn't give me the same thrill as catching a fly ball in a tee-ball game when I was five. You have control over these things. Why not just insist to yourself that all the pleasures of five are yours again? Pulling a girls hair! Ow! Jump in mud! Kooghies! Cookies Hyperglycemic stroke I'm sorry.
To be fair, I don’t think I’d ever enjoy a rocket trip to Mars. That’s a dang long ride.
