I saw an Imgur video about a guy who creates impressively beautiful mosiacs with various sized and colored rocks on beaches. And, yes, they get washed away by the tide…

I kick and redistribute cairns that people build and leave. I go to the wilds to enjoy the wild not human ‘industry’. Build it, take a picture, then the real challenge is to put it back so it looks like you weren’t there.
