or drive around for a half hour looking for a parking space near the store, and then walk around inside a 3-acre warehouse for an hour.

Yeah, but ever notice that it is the thin ones that won’t get out of their cars at McDonald’s not matter how long the drive thru line is. They would rather sit and burn gas.

do you know what it’s like for a thin person to get to the counter in a mac d’s? they could be killed in the onslaught, or worse…eaten.

The race belongs to the fast.

pamlicorat – I notice that there are people who go to the gym who will drive around the parking lot until they can get a parking place near the door. They don’t want to walk the extra 100 feet. Seems to me to kind of defeat the purpose of the gym.

rshive–I will drive around at the gym, not looking for a place close to the door but for a well lit, high visibility spot. Too many cars get broken into while we’re huffing and puffing.

It surprises me that he can gain weight eating Roz’s food. Most of the time there is a cloud of smoke coming from her kitchen. Why do you think she isn’t married–nobody can live through her cooking.

What Cosmo doesn’t realize is that the two basic ingredients in Roz’s food are lard and starch.

Aren’t lard and starch two of the food groups, along with sugar and sodium?

When I was a kid, the FIVE basic food groups used to be: Breads (and starches) Meats & fish Dairy Fruits Vegetables

I guess now they combine the Fruits & Vegetables. Nowadays, I consider the 5 basic food groups to be:

    Sugar Salt Fat Starch Caffeine

lard is an animal product-pork. starch in a plant product. hey treB, what you’ve described is breakfast…..a glazed donut & a cup of coffee.
