So the government has finally decided to trim the fat. It will mean cutting a lot of the pork from the budget.

Oh no. It’ll probably be as noneffective as Dubya’s “No student left behind” program.

Sadly, this is the type of rhetoric the government puts out on a daily basis, bureaucrats and politicians alike. Is it any wonder why we ignore the government so much?

As usual, the Senator is leading from the rear.

I can see in the night, and this Senator is trying to take credit for the current champion of foodies–the prez’s wife. whooo

We need jobs, Speaker Boner, not more useless talk about taking away people’s health insurance.

“Finger on the pulse?” More like hand on YOUR wallet and eye on the reelection campaign fund!

I like the “Out of Touch” seal on the podium.

Ah, yes. No child left behind. What, no mention of science in this program? Oh, right. Republicans don’t believe in science.

Perhaps Michelle Obama would like to set the standard, and lose her fat first…

Prosperity = overeating = obesity. Depression = hunger = weight loss.

So it’s all good. Isn’t it?

The best thing that Congress could do for the American people is adjourn.

That’s it! We’ll re-name the economic decisions that led to widespread unemployment, rising prices and falling wages the “National Weight Loss Initiative”!

I hope nobody pulls the senator’s finger!
