I have a good time asking for directions. I noticed that my buds in Special Forces who asked got there more than those who didn’t…SAFELY! I meet a LOT of women by asking for directions…especially young ones…then pointing out that I’m probably the FIRST who ever asked…
“Take the third left.” When I worked in a gas on station Cape Cod back in the late 1950s that was my standard response to jerks asking directions, unfortunately, since I am from NJ, most of them drove cars with NJ or NY tags. The “third left” took you to what was then called the town dump.
